This work was inspired by a photo of the forest surrounding the ravine in the backyard of my friend’s house; we used to go and explore there a few decades ago. I decided to work vertically directly on the wall, from bottom to top, adding one canvas at a time from the floor to the ceiling. At the end, I was standing on a chair in order to complete the top painting. It felt a bit as if I were climbing the tree.
