The unbearable latitudes of life. I painted this right before the COVID outbreak was officially declared, in the middle of winter. It signifies an absence of warmth, a cooling down. A receding into myself. A conscious state of self. Wonder, marvel, animosity. Like water turning into ice–transparent, crackling surface glass.
