Poinsettias in March, Oil on Gallery Canvas, 48x36 inches

I was transfixed by how long this Poinsettia lived beyond the festive season; I decided to paint it from two different angles–I felt this one plant deserved some recognition for its endurance. On the right is the beginning of an arch that encases a stained glass window. I laid emphasis on the contrast between organic shapes and geometric shapes.
