I made this painting based on a sketch that I made in the summer of 2018. I went to the park a few times and found that the wild growth and weeds had a peculiarly fantastic glow at nighttime. I sat and did a pen sketch on the bench–it felt reminiscent of the artist life in the 1800’s.
