I created this painting during the endless Google Meets and Zoom meetings during COVID restrictions. I had to work on my laptop remotely indoors and yearned for the freedom of the outdoors. I went for a walk around the neighbourhood and encountered these beautiful flowers on the trees. I felt locked in at the time and thus the rectangles and the bar represent the reality of online indoor life superimposing itself on the liberty and freshness of spring weather outdoors.
